Stanley J. Wojtkonski

Stanley J. Wojtkonski, age 90 of Taunton, passed away on July 29, 2023 at the Brockton VA.

He was the husband of Simonne (Cote) Wojtkonski.

Born in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Krakus) Wojtkonski.

Stanley served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 through 1953, and as a marine fought with distinction in the Korean War. 

Post-war, Stanley took employement with the John J. Duane Wrecking Company, Inc, in Quincy, MA.  There he worked as a member of the Teamsters Union for over 40 years. 

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed.

Besides his beloved wife Simonne of 65 years, he is survived by his son; Stanley Wojtkonski, sister; Celia Donovan, grandchildren; Nicole Wojtkonski, Michael Wojtkonski and his fiancé Kendall, Mack Wojtkonski, great- grandchildren; Ryder Tripp, Walker Tripp, Alana Wojtkonski and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Mark Wojtkonski and Alan Wojtkonski.

Stanley’s funeral with visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Taunton.

Burial with military honors will follow in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30pm.

From 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm an open buffet will be held in a function room at Lorenzo's Italian Restaurant in Middleboro, MA. It is open to all who wish to visit and share a meal with Stanley's family and friends. Stop by at any time during the buffet hours. See the hostess at the front and inform them you are here for the Wojtkonski funeral service.
