Obituary

Silas Lucas, age 49, of East Taunton, passed away on November 18, 2022 at Brockton Hospital.

He was the long-time companion of Rosemary Raposo.

Born in New York Cit, he was the son of Lessie Lucas and the late Silas Cooper.

Silas was employed with Market Basket as a Deli clerk.

He enjoyed playing darts with his brother Chucky, working with electronics and fishing.

Besides his companion Rosemary he is survived by his children; Joseph Lucas, Anthony Lucas, Devon Lucas, Romelo Lucas, Andre Lucas, David Raposa, Silas Lucas, brothers; Clarence Lucas, Charles Lucas and companion Denise, Michael Colley, sisters; Bernice Blakeney and husband John, Renee Lucas and husband Harry, and several nieces and nephews.

Silas’s funeral with visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 9:00am with a service to begin at 10:00am in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
