Ronald A. Costa, age 87 of Taunton, passed away on November 26, 2021 peacefully surrounded by his family.
He was the beloved husband of Jean (Seabrook) Costa.
Ronald was born in Taunton, the son of the late Morien and Mary (Rose) Costa.
Before retiring, Mr. Costa was employed with the Foxboro Company as a foreman for many years.
Mr. Costa proudly served his country with the Navy during the Korean War. Ron was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching all types of sporting events. But he was most happy sitting in his chair at home watching New England sports. He enjoyed watching old movies and going out to eat with Jean. In the summer, he enjoyed watching 5 generations of his family use his swimming pool. In his younger years Ron enjoyed playing golf and taking family camping trips.
Besides his beloved wife Jean of over 64 years, he is survived by his loving children; Michael Costa and his companion Jodie Toppi and Paula Crowninshield and husband Steve both of Taunton, grandfather of Lauren Costa and companion Kyle Terrien and Mallori Costa and her companion Gregory English, and his great grandchild Rhett English, his step grandchildren Caitlin DeSena, Taylor Billotte and Tyler Kingsbury as well as four step great grandchildren. Ronald was also the brother of the late Robert Costa, Anna Freelove and Carol Sylvia.
Mr. Costa’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 10 am followed by a funeral service to begin at 12:30 in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Interment will follow with military honors in the Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
