Roger Jeffrey Cunha

Roger Jeffrey Cunha, age 61 of Taunton, passed away on October 21,2023 at Morton Hospital.

Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Roger and Patricia (Johnson) Cunha.

Jeff was employed at Bridgewater State University as a Steam Fireman for the past 36 years. He previously was employed at the former Ruping East Tannery in Taunton MA and for many years, at Olsons Greenhouses in Raynham MA.

Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, motorcycle riding and visiting and vacationing in New Hampshire. Jeff's greatest joy was time spent with his daughter and their adventures together.

He is survived by his loving daughter Megan Cunha and her boyfriend Jarred Froughton, siblings; John Cunha and his wife Lyn, Nancy Kelleher and her husband Bob, longtime friend Darlene Crossman and his grand horses Jax and Margo.

He was the brother of the late Debbie McAloney.

Jeff’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 8:30am to 10:00am with a funeral home service to begin at 10:00am in the Silva Funeral Home (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.

Interment will follow in Mayflower Cemetery, Taunton.
