Robert P. Valle

Robert P. Valle, age 90 of Taunton, passed away on November 7, 2023 at

Regal Care of Taunton. He was the husband of Dorothy (Pacheco) Valle.

Robert was born in Brockton, the son of the late Victor and Margaret

(Condon) Valle. Before retiring, Mr. Valle was employed with Amtrak as a

Chief Train Dispatcher. He hired out in 1953 to New York, New Haven, and

Hartford Railroad. He was promoted to Train Dispatcher in 1964, and in

1978, was appointed Chief Train Dispatcher until his Amtrak retirement in

1991. He enjoyed summers in Bridgton, Maine on Long Lake, where he

also enjoyed boating, skiing, and jet skiing. Besides being married to his

wife Dorothy for over 71 years, he is survived by his loving children;

Victoria DeMoura, and her husband Philip of East Taunton; Michele

Macomber and her husband Robert of Taunton; and Robert M. Valle of

Taunton; grandchildren Philip DeMoura, Carrie Perry Meredith Tavares,

Ryan Macomber, Ian Macomber, Leigh Guerri, and Robert J Valle; great-

grandchildren, Camron, Sadie, Maria, Charlotte, Avery, Levi and Brayden, as well as many nieces and nephews and godchildren. Mr.

Valle was also the brother of the late Lois Ramsay, the late Sheila Savory,

the late John (Jack) Valle, and Janice Bassett.

A graveside service will be held on Monday November 13, 2023 at 12:00

noon at the Saint Joseph Cemetery, 475 East Britannia Street, Taunton,

Ma. Relatives and friends may meet at the main entrance of the cemetery

at 11:45.
