Robert L. Pavao

SWANSEA- Robert L. Pavao, 83, of Swansea, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Somerset Ridge Center in Somerset. He was the beloved husband for 61 years to the love of his life, Pauline R. (Belanger) Pavao.

Born in Fall River, Robert was one of four children born to the late Manuel and Annette (Fournier) Pavao. He was raised and grew up in Fall River.

Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He served from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1962.

A man with a great work ethic and a talent for working with his hands, Robert worked for many years as a self-employed General Contractor, where he owned and operated his two businesses: Kulak-Pavao Construction and Shamrock Builders. He was well known for his meticulous attention to detail and providing his customers with the highest quality of service. Following his time working in the construction industry, Robert worked as a Maintenance Director at Crystal Springs School.

In his spare time, Robert had a wide array of hobbies and interests. He was a member of the American Legion Post 303 in Swansea. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and he liked to go swimming, particularly in salt water. He was a TV and movie buff for anything related to history and he loved his trips to the casino with his wife by his side. Above all, Robert was most happy when he was in the presence of and making memories with his dear family.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his cherished daughter: Pamela Lavoie and her husband Robert; his three grandchildren: Steven Pavao, Jennifer DaSilva, and Zachary Lavoie; his great-granddaughter: Noraa Sheedy; his brothers: Michael Pavao and his wife Christine and Russell Pavao and his wife Deborah; and also numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Robert is predeceased in passing by his daughter: Debra Quental and sister: Janice Looker.

Services for Robert will be held privately.
