Richard graduated from Taunton High School in 1958. He enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1961.He worked for Reed and Barton Silver Craft as a Foreman until he retired. Richard helped raise his family in Mansfield for over 20 years until moving back to Taunton in the late 90’s and then to Middleboro for the last several years of life.

First and foremost, Richard was about his family and friends. He cherished times with all his children, grandchildren, and delighted in writing letters and telling stories to his great-granddaughter. He will be fondly remembered for his unwavering attention to accomplish a task, whether it was helping a neighbor or baking a pie for a friend. He would be the first to step in or step up to the plate. Whatever the situation, tragic, trying, or exciting you could count on Richard to be there for you.  His true joy was helping others.

Richard enjoyed day trips to the casinos, antiquing, carving wooden birds and beautiful walking sticks, and he especially loved to go fishing. A member of the Easton Rod and Gun Club, Richard looked forward to meeting up with other members, helping with special events, and spending mornings having breakfast and coffee there.

Richard will be missed dearly. His life, laughter, and love will live on in all of us.
