Regina (Meack) Pereira, age 55, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2025 at her home.
She was the wife of the late Daniel J. Pereira.
Born in Middleboro, MA she was the daughter of the late Reginald Meack and Laverne Allen-Reynolds.
Regina worked as a PCA for many years because taking care of others is what she did best her whole life. No matter how full her plate was, she always had a shoulder open to anyone who needed it. She was always the first one there when you needed someone.
Gina was known as the life of the party at any event she attended. One thing she knew how to do was to make you laugh. She loved to dance and watch sports. She is The New England Patriots number one fan. She had many nicknames like “Patriotsgurl” or “Smileygurl” but her favorite was Mum. Nothing was more important to Gina than her three boys and close family. If you saw her she always had a Dunkin’ coffee in her hand and other times a Mr. Goodbar. The Dunkin’ crew was her extended family who knew her order by just the sound of her voice. She loved to decorate, and she could make anything look so amazing out of items from the Dollar Store. Gina even loved to decorate on an app she played on her IPad. She loved to go camping in the most luxurious campers imaginable, she had amazing taste and more importantly, she knew what she wanted. Her gentleness is shown through her ability to take care of her plants. If your plant wasn’t doing well, just give it to her and that plant would thrive and flourish. Gina just knew how to light up the room and somehow always gave the feeling of security when she was around no matter the situation at hand. She loved to love and she was the best at giving it.
Although she will be missed, we know that if you knew Regina, she made an everlasting impression on your heart.
She is survived by her loving children; Jay Meack, Brett Meack and his husband Jared, and Shane Pereira. Her fiancé Paul Berube and his son Hunter, siblings; Danielle Palmisano, Keri DaRosa, and Reginald Cardin, grandchildren; Nate, Dylan, Abigail, Logan, and several nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be held privately.
Funeral arrangements were made with Silva Funeral Home, Taunton.
