Obituary
Pedro M. Martins, Jr, age 43 of Taunton, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on September 9, 2023 at Morton Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Pedro was the beloved son of the late Pedro and Margarida (Cordeiro) Martins, Sr.
Pedro enjoyed sitting by his big brother's pool, listening to music, fishing, cars, junk food and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving sisters and brothers; Agnelo Martins of East Providence, Luis Martins of Upton, Catia DaSilva of Taunton, Ana Grant of Taunton, and Stephen Martins of Quincy. Pedro is also survived by his aunts Maria Almeida of Taunton, Maria Camara of Kissimmee Florida, several cousins and his nieces Sophia Grant, Mia DaSilva and his nephew Ayden Grant.
Pedro’s funeral will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 13th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
