Maria N. (Rapose) daPonte

Maria N. (Rapose) daPonte, age 92 of Taunton, passed away on August 4, 2022 at Marian Manor.

She was the beloved wife of the late Floriano daPonte.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Mariano and Belmira (Soeira) Rapose.

Before retiring, Maria was employed with Parker Bros. as a machine operator for many years.

She enjoyed Sewing and crafts, most of all, Maria cherished time spent with her family.

Maria is survived by her loving daughter’s; Manuela daPonte and Bella Bettencourt both of Taunton. Grandmother of Jason and wife Michelle, and Christopher Bettencourt, great-grandmother of Logan, Cole and Quinn Bettencourt.

Maria’s funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 8:30am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Andrew the Apostle Church, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
