Maria Teresa (Burgo) DaRosa

Maria Teresa (Burgo) DaRosa, age 84 of Taunton, passed away on August 26,
2023.
She was the beloved wife of Viriato M. DaRosa.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Teresa
(Barbosa) DeBurgo.
Before retiring, Mrs. DaRosa was employed with the former LeachGarner and
Renies Curtain Factory as a machine operator.
She enjoyed worshiping Jesus, praying, dancing, laughing, cooking and spending
time with her family. She loved baking and sweet treats, especially strawberry ice
cream. She always put others before herself and lived a selfless life. You could
always find her making others laugh, taking care of other people especially those
in need. Greatest of all was how deeply she loved her family. Her unconditional
love will forever live on.
Mrs. DaRosa is survived by her loving children; Joseph DaRosa of Pawtucket, RI,
Victor DaRosa of Pawtucket, RI, Roberto and wife Suzette DaRosa of Taunton, MA
Adelino and wife Sandra DaRosa of Fall River, MA , Eugenia DaRosa of Taunton,
MA and Elizabeth DaRosa of Taunton, MA . Grandmother of Johnathan and wife
Beth DaRosa, Brandon DaRosa, Sabrina DaRosa, Kesandrah DaRosa, Adelino Jr
DaRosa, Jzanev (DaRosa) and husband Michael DeLuca, Katerina DaRosa, Mahlik
Ash, Ahlani Cummings, Amyiah Cummings, Makynlee DaRosa, and Haven DaRosa
Great-grandmother of Neveah DaRosa, Adaleigh DaRosa and Avery DaRosa. Mrs.
DaRosa was also the sister of Jose Pedro DeBurgo, and was the sister of the late Joao DeBurgo,
Jimmy Burgo, Antonio Burgo, Constancia Brito, Juvencia Louzada, Fortunata
Gomes and Jaime Burgo.
Mrs. DaRosa’s funeral will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 7:30am
from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with
a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.
Interment will follow in Mayflowers Hill Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Sept 1 st from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral
Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the
Funeral Home.
