June (Foote) Gray was the widow of her loving husband, Milton Gray, to whom she was married for 50 years. She was born in Saratoga Springs, NY and was a graduate of Skidmore College. She was the daughter of the late Mary K. Foote,
Mrs. Gray and her husband moved to Taunton in 1946. She devoted her life to public service. She was active in the community, having served as Past President of the Junior Women's Club, Vice-President of the Morton Hospital Women's Auxiliary, Chairman of the Morton Hospital Charity Ball, Member of the Morton Hospital Corporation, Member of the Taunton Visiting Nurse Association, and Member of the Friends of the Taunton Public Library, as well as many others.
Mrs. Gray also served as a volunteer at the Taunton Public Library for numerous years. Additionally, she volunteered for the Taunton Literacy Group, Our Daily Bread, and the Heart and Cancer Drives.
During her work life, Mrs. Gray was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a social worker.
Mrs. Gray leaves her three beloved sons, Michael M. Gray and wife Karen of Jupiter, Fl., Stephen G. Gray and wife Maria of Carver, MA, and Timothy H. Gray and wife Juana of Millis, MA. She leaves grandchildren Jason, Jessica, Alexander, and Christopher of whom she was very proud. She was also the devoted owner of her English Springer Spaniels, Cricket, Joy, and Misty. They were her great companions.
Services will be private. Arrangements are with the Silva Funeral Home of Taunton.
