Joseph J. Andrade

Joseph J. Andrade, age 81 of North Easton, MA, passed away on May 26, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital.

He was the husband of Diane (Thayer) Andrade.

Born in North Dighton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Dwyer) Andrade.

 Mr. Andrade was a graduate of Taunton High, and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley College. He worked in accounting for many years until achieving his dream of having his own business.

He enjoyed reading Stephen King novels, watching football and hockey games. Most of all he enjoyed everything about Cape Cod. He enjoyed fishing or just resting on the banks of the  Canal while watching seagulls, seals and other sea life playing in the sun. He loved Race Point Beach and going to Provincetown to enjoy the party like atmosphere.

Besides his beloved wife Diane of 59 years, he is survived by his children; Elizabeth Cassidy and husband Matthew Cassidy, James J. Andrade and wife Mary Catherine Andrade, grandchildren; Cameron Hufault, Trevor Andrade, great-grandchildren; Elena Marie Hufault  and Lucien Thor Hufault, step-grandchildren Alec Legaspi and Alan Legaspi. He was the father of the late Sharon Andrade.

Mr. Andrade’s funeral with visitation will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 9am with a funeral service to begin at 11 am in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
