Joao Teles

Joao Teles, age 84 of Taunton, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in his residence with his loving family by his side.

He was the beloved husband of the late Maria (Rosareo) Teles.

Joao was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Jose and Maria (DeSousa) Teles.

Before retiring, Mr. Teles was employed with Olson Greenhouse as a gardener.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing and cherished time spent with his family.

He is survived by his children; Joao Teles, Simon Teles, Joseph Teles, Arcenio Teles, Gorette Ponte and Connie Dugas, grandfather of 16, great grandfather of 10, and brother Jose Teles. He was the brother of the late Manuel Teles and Maria do Anjos Teles.

Joao’s funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 8:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
