David Oliveira

BRISTOL, RI- David Oliveira, age 65, a resident of Bristol since 2013, formerly of North Dighton, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the devoted husband of 46 wonderful years to Lucia (Tavares) Oliveira.

Born in Agua de Alto, Sao Miguel, Azores, David was the son of the late Manuel and Lidwina (Correia) Oliveira.

A hard-working man with an admirable work ethic, David worked for many years as a General Manager for Dunkin’ Donuts. Often working long days and doing whatever work was needed, David always strived to provide the utmost service to his customers.

 In his spare time, David was an avid sports fan, specifically for his loved Benfica soccer team, along with the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Boston Bruins. David especially loved to watch and cheer on his grandsons at their soccer games, never missing a weekend. He also loved to play all card games with his favorite being Omaha Poker.

Besides his wife, David is survived by his children: Sandra Kelleher (John) of Jacksonville, FL, Kenny Oliveira (Joyce) of Bristol, RI, and Robert Oliveira (Melissa) of Taunton. He was the devoted grandfather to Cristiano, Dominic, Collin, Makayla, and Axel. He is also survived by numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

David’s funeral will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 8:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 20, from 5 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.
