Obituary
Charles William White Jr., of Middleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023 at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton.
He was the husband of Andria (Richards) White.
Born in Roslindale, MA, he was the son of the late Charles and Catherine (Goonan) White. A graduate of Roslindale High School, he spent the next 4 years serving in the Navy during the Korean War. Upon return, he started back to school and graduated from Boston College. He was a paper merchant who worked for Northeastern Envelope, RIS Paper Company and retired from WWF Paper in Mansfield. His clients knew and loved him for the boxes of Lori-Ann’s donuts he delivered on a weekly basis.
Charlie was the life of the party, a great storyteller, conversationalist and historian. He loved playing golf, reading a good book, completing daily crossword puzzles and watching his grandchildren participate in sports.
He was an avid sports fan attending BC football games, Bean Pot Hockey Tournaments and enjoying all the seasons of Boston sports.
During his years at Oak Point, he enjoyed his friendships in the card club, pool club and the pod dinners.
Besides his beloved wife Andria of 62 years, he is survived by his loving children; Tricia White and her husband, Jeff Sankey, of Mansfield, Chuck White and his wife, Hana, of Provincetown and Karen Collins and her husband, Al, of Bristol, RI. He was the proud grandfather of Dylan White, Danielle Pybus (Chris), Michael Bolea (Kerrie), Peyton Dickie (Riley), Brian Bolea, Christopher Collins (Marissa), Stephen Bolea and Matthew Collins (Melanie). Grampa Charlie to Livy, Timmy and Zachary. Also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. He is the brother of Virginia Chapin and the late Muriel Rice and Nancy Rogers.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Little Bird Events, 83 Morse Street, Norwood beginning at 11 AM with lunch to follow. Please contact a family member with your intention to attend.
