Antonio F. Amaral

Antonio F. Amaral, age 87 of Taunton, passed away on November 21, 2022 with his loving family by his side.

He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Marcelina (Frias) Amaral.

Born in Sao Miguel, Acores, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Duarte) Amaral.

Before retiring, Mr. Amaral was employed with American Lighting Company as a buffer.

 He enjoyed spending time together with his family, especially for family dinners.  He looked forward to Sunday's where his morning started with mass and ended with family gathered at his house for the evening.  He spent his pastimes watching soccer games, bull fighting and race horses.  Antonio spent many years perfecting his wine making skills and enjoyed sharing it with others.

Antonio is survived by his loving daughters, Maria Vieira and husband Antonio, Nubelia Bairos and husband Henrique and Teresa Melo and husband Antonio,  grandfather of Stephanie Carlos and husband Jimmy, Melanie Cabral and husband Jonathan, Alexander Melo, Eric Bairos and Michael Vieira and wife Alexis, great-grandfather of Audrina Carlos, Marcelina Cabral, Brycen Carlos, Oliver Vieira, Tyler Vieira, Quinten Vieira and Olivia Cabral. He was also the brother of Ana Maria Vieira of the Azores and brother of the late Fatima Amaral.

Mr. Amaral’s funeral will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 25th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.
